With each warm color, a drop of dark color was addded with each stripe downward. The many shades of greens and purples are amazing. One of my goals with painting is to keep a limited palette, so now I understand color mixing a little bit more, and I&#8217;m confident I don&#8217;t need to purchase a ton of colors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-208\" src=\"http:\/\/twillpower.com\/thrums\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0362.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"850\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Today, I attempted to paint a little sketch from a photo&#8211;no tutorial. I have to say, it doesn&#8217;t even resemble the photo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-206\" src=\"http:\/\/twillpower.com\/thrums\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0360.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"837\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I also practiced using the large, flat brush with a Peter Sheeler tutorial.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-205\" src=\"http:\/\/twillpower.com\/thrums\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_0359.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"953\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And I painted four tiny &#8220;spontaneous&#8221; paintings where you quickly add color here and there, and then after it dries, add detail to turn it into something.
