Am I Blue?
This color just stands out as a special shade of blue. It’s worsted weight wool from a local farm. The other color is Universal Yarn, which is a wool/acrylic blend. For some reason, weaving simple blocks and letting the yarn do the work appealed to me this week.
Sampler
This is a very quick sampler to test how these four colors work together. The yarn is Brown Sheep worsted (single ply). I also used it as a warp. It’s strong but frays after awhile.
Steep
The learning curve, that is. It’s like going to school again–difficult but endlessly fascinating. Here’s the latest experiment. Wool warp at 4 epi, doubled Guro tapestry yarn, simple shapes. Strangely, I really like how this came together. It measures about 4″ x 8″.
