Hello, Spring
I think this was the first winter I spotted robins in every month but, perhaps, January. but instead of just passing through in a flock, they’re now here to stay.

Pen and Ink Fawns
These little sweeties are actually the same fawn. I had taken a few dozen pictures of it wading through the edge of a river, and these are two different poses.
I’ve been trying out ink on a variety of papers, and I’ve found it does great on nearly all the watercolor, bristol, and art boards I have with little to no feathering. Maybe someday I’ll try a bigger piece.
More Birds
I’m on a kick drawing birds with water soluble ink. Reference photos are usually from Paint My Photo.
Along with my trusty Moonman Mini, I used a refillable brush pen, a Kuretake Sumi. The ink is Herbin Poussiere de Lune, such a pretty plum.
I also drew this Common Grackle, and I took more pictures of the process, albeit in poor lighting. The paper is Canson Multimedia, which isn’t bright white, but it’s not even close to cream, which is how it looks below.
Below I tried a ball point pen. I scribbled too much, but it was a fun, quick experiment.
