Woven Hat
One of my Christmas presents was a 12″ square loom from U Weave Looms. The pins are arranged so it’s like a Weave-It loom–only it’s giant! I wove two squares and stitched them together to make a tube and then gathered the top. It’s a hat!

It was great to receive this pretty shawl pin as a gift this year. It just happens to look nice with my new shawl.
This rustic Christmas tree looks nice both inside and outside the house on a wintry day. I wove it on the Glimakra Emilia loom using mostly cotton carpet warp. I used an inlay technique to create the tree. If I feel inspired, I may weave a few decorations, but I think I like it best as is.
Merry Christmas!
I think I just found my new favorite shuttle for weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Stick shuttles can hook on warp threads, and from what I’ve heard, boat shuttles can fall between warp threads.
So far, I love using my new shuttles on the Glimakra Emilia. The slim design fits nicely in the shed, and I can pack more weft on than I imagined. In fact, I had the same amount as the stick shuttle I’d been using.
These little discoveries really make my day. I’m so happy I bought two!
