Natural Bridge Graphite Sketch

My summer art drought continued throughout August. Finally, I used Derwent Graphitint pencils and Faber Castell water soluble graphite for this quick drawing.

The background was painted on the back side, so much easier than trying to go around everything in the front. I can bump into and overlap the chickens without ruining them.

Probably something really common, but I can’t identify this bird. It was about the size of a sparrow, dull yellow, with a few splotches on its breast.
We visited a bird sanctuary and this Hooded Crane took a bath in a pond and then got the crazies and tore around, flapping its wings and having a good time.
